Holi Fest, also known as the spring festival, is a Hindu festival known as the festival of colour. It has been popular among non-Hindus and is largely celebrated in Southern India and Nepal.
The festival is typically celebrated in late February/early March is begins the night before Holi with a Holika bonfire where people gather, sing and dance. These celebrations are followed by participants chasing each other with coloured powder, some with water guns and colourful water balloons.
