Following our feature on Japan’s botanical gardens and famous bamboo grove, we can’t keep our minds off of those beautiful cherry blossom trees! Native to Japan, these beautiful pink trees are in full bloom by spring – which is probably the best time to visit Japan due to the warm temperatures. Additionally, visiting during the spring avoids the more tropical conditions of the later months where the rain can be especially heavy.
If the city is what you’re after, Tokyo is undoubtedly the place to be. The hustle and bustle of this busy cosmopolitan centre is complimented by its exciting nightlife – clubs, pubs, bars and anything else you could possibly ask for. During the day, why not visit one of the numerous museums situated around the city or if you fancy something a little more relaxing, visit one of the many parks and gardens. The Chidorigafuchi park is well known for its stunning cherry tree walk and the opportunities for a boat ride on the lake.
Whilst the city life is certainly something you don’t want to miss, we would also recommend taking a trip out of the city and visiting Mount Fuji for its spiritual temples and its incredible natural beauty – have a read here of our earlier feature to find out more:
